10 Ways to Improve the NFL Draft

April 27, 2007

1. Run the Draft on week nights, one round per night. - Afternoon weekends in April are just busy.

2. Have Stewart Scott announce the picks!- One things for sure- he’ll be winking.

3. Take 10 minutes in between announcing picks, instead of 15. - Some feel as though they can organize their own Draft in between picks.

4. Have trades and other transactions running live on ESPN2. - I want to use my Picture In Picture DAMNIT!

5. As Jimmy Traina says -”Hold the draft inside the stadium of the team that has the No. 1 pick. This could be risky because of trades, but that would only add to the drama.”

6. Remove all American Idol re-runs off the air during the Draft.- You don’t want Seacrest and Sinjiyah to steal the show.

7. Text FindJoePa to number 7896 to find out which bathroom stall Joe Paterno is in at the moment.

8. Change up the ceremonies and announcements. - The same thing happens every year. Make it more interesting. - Scrollers, tickers and interviews do not always keep a guy awake, especially if hes had a couple of beers.

9. Make sure teeth decaying gatorade is a sponser.

10. Hopefully, David Letterman with have a similar top ten.

11. Have CHEERLEADERS AT THE EVENT!
