Albert Pujols takes his base on ball 3: Nothing Said!
May 1, 2007
In last night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, Albert Pujols was thrown 4 pitches, 1 was called for a strike while the others were called balls. Pujols flipped the bat after ball three and headed for first. At this point those who knew, expected the umpires or anyone to say something about taking your base on ball three. I don’t think there was a rule change? It stayed dead Silent! Albert remained on 1st base while the next batter came to the plate. Amazing! Fans in the stands didnt even realize, all of the score keepers and staticians must have missed this one???
Somebody Fumbled on this one!
