Lakers Franchise Fumbles
May 30, 2007
Kobe wants out. Today he asked to be traded, calling the entire front office and administrators of the LA Lakers “A Mess”.”I would like to be traded, yeah,” Bryant told ESPN radio. “Tough as it is to come to that conclusion there’s no other alternative. It’s rough man, but I don’t see how you can rebuild that trust. I just don’t know how you can move forward in that type of situation.”
Then on Tuesday, Lakers owner Jerry Buss was arrested early in the morning for an investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The 74-year-old Buss was taken into custody shortly before 1 a.m. after he drove his gold Mercedes-Benz station wagon the wrong way on a one-way street.
If this isnt bad enough, why not have the players lie to each other..The following statement was issued today by Lakers forward Vladimir Radmanovic:
“First of all I’d like to apologize to my teammates, coaches, Lakers management and Lakers fans for initially lying about the circumstances of the injury to my shoulder last weekend. I’d like to, however, come forward and set the record straight at this time…”
This could be one of the largest franchise meltdowns of all history. Who woaveuld have thought five years ago this could happen to the Lakers.
