Charges AGAIN have been filed against a Florida lineman, Ronnie Wilson after an incident in early April. ESPN Reports that the alleged victim claimed Wilson spat on him and slapped him in the face at a nightclub. Wilson told police he did spit on the victim but denied hitting him. Wilson allegedly left the club, pulled a rifle from his trunk and fired a shot in the air.Florida coach Urban Meyer called the incident a “major concern” following the arrest in April, and suspended Wilson indefinitely from team activities. Meyer declined comment on the charges sports information director Steve McClain.
Good Dicipline technique. After Calling it a “major concern”, he follows with the statment,”Nothing has changed in his status,” McClain said.
ESPN Reports today, that The University of Montana has indefinitely suspended Jimmy Wilson, a cornerback charged with murder earlier this week, from the football team, head coach Bobby Hauck said Friday. If this is what it takes to get suspended or discipline the NCAA is in trouble.
How about the pictures floating around cyberspace with Matt Stafford holding a keg above his head and his 17 year old girlfriend wearing next to nothing…If this isnt embarrassing to a football program, I dont know what is.
The fact of the matter is there is very little discipline when it comes to football players. Everyone knows it. If a college wants to keep its integrity disciplinary actions must be taken against those who cause chaos. Joe Pa knows! He took care of the situation by punishing the whole team, because the stupidity of one player always can have a major impact on a teams success.
The whole problem can be solved with one NCAA rule…You f*ck up you clean the Sugar Bowl!
