When Nathan Hazi and Chris Baradziej began a group on the popular social networking Web site Facebook.com, their intention was to influence football and basketball recruit Terrelle Pryor to consider representing the blue and white.
Then, they got an e-mail from Penn State’s NCAA compliance coordinator.

In an article written by Blog Critics  Magazine “The Critic”  Writes the following about college football recruiting..
“Amidst the drama are recruiting experts. If ever there were words not meant to go together it is recruiting and expert. Partisan, quick to anger if a recruit won’t talk to them; these experts feed at the bottom of the football ocean, eating the waste products of what is great about the college game.
Paid by various “services,” these football hookers whisper whatever their pimp tells them. Among those this humble scribe detests is Tom Luginbill, ESPN’s recruiting analyst. His self-written biography that appears as one of his articles, wherein he discusses the recruiting “wars” he endured, is hilarious as it offers a peek inside an ego that makes Ted Turner appear humble.”
This guy watches too many cartoons. Why don’t you tell scout.com that they are a bunch of idiots. Then you will have everyone laughing at you including all the pimps around the world! What’s up New York???!!

A spy on the L.A. set of a new Adam Sandler project has confirmed that Leinart landed an acting role in the untitled flick, featuring “Scary Movie” star Anna Faris. While sources claim Leinart is serious about the part, we’re told that he’s only shooting on days he’s not scheduled to visit his 9-month-old son with baby mama Brynn Cameron.
When contacted by TMZ, Leinart’s rep wouldn’t talk about the movie, but assured the Cardinal faithful that “Matt is focused right now on his way to training camp. He has a job to do with the Arizona Cardinals. That’s all we have to say about that.”
This guy is headed down the wrong road. He should be focusing on his NFL Carreer.

Reggie Bush had never been drilled like this in his life. In high school and college he had always been the best athlete on the field, too fast and too elusive to leave himself open to a clean shot. But here, in an NFC divisional playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles, his initiation came suddenly. A swing pass floated into the right flat, a flash of green helmet and white jersey, and now Bush was on his hands and knees on the turf of the Louisiana SuperÂdome, crawling in his black New Orleans Saints uniform like a small child, sent back to his infancy after getting blown up by Eagles cornerback Sheldon Brown. Here’s a stunner for NCAA fans who feel that the Hurricanes like to flaunt their individual stars: First-year coach Randy Shannon has stripped the names from the back of this season’s uniforms in an effort to continue his ”team-first” theme.
UM coach Randy Shannon is preaching discipline for 2007. ‘We’re held to higher standards,’ Shannon said.
Do you think he is making a statement that will change the outlook of the players for the upcoming season? Why or why not? Or is he trying to make his first mark in the program by just doing something to show authority?

He is 6′ 4” tall and weighs 250 pounds. You would think that we are describing a future tight-end. But this “freakish athlete” is a Wide Receiver.
“From intangibles to talent level, Jones is the total package,” says Scouts Inc. national recruiting director Tom Luginbill.
“He is polished, strong, gifted and the most physically dominating prospect in this class.”
Last year he produced 1,500 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns for Foley (Ala.) High School. He is now ranked number 1 in ESPN’s 2008 College Football Recruiting Top 150.

Check this out. Next time you see the Gatorade coolers on the sideline remember this;  Players drink 6,200 gallons of Gatorade during the course of one season. Amazing. Remember a few months back when the news came out about Gatorade rotting your teeth?
“The University of Iowa researchers covered extracted teeth with nail polish. They left bare two patches on each tooth, one on the enamel and one on the root. Then they dunked the teeth in test tubes filled with regular Coke, Diet Coke, Gatorade, Red Bull, or 100% apple juice. (more…)

The Irish will play in Orlando in 2011 & 2014. No opponent has been announced. How about the Tide!? It would sell tickets, draw viewers, and broaden the reach of Notre Dame into SEC country. Alabama gets to play ND, and doesn’t have to travel outside Dixie to do it. Plus they get great exposure in Urban Meyer’s back yard, recruit-rich Florida.

In an article written by the associated press in April, they try to make it clear that college football recruiting blogs and websites are tremendous distractions to high-school athletes and staff. The article quoted:Â
“Despite their popularity, they are increasingly coming under attack by coaches and administrators who argue they heap too much attention on young, impressionable student-athletes.”
Bobby Burton, editor-in-chief for Rivals.com expressed the following: “All we’ve done is bring to light something that’s been going on forever.â€
Mr. Fumbles says: “It is not the blogs and websites causing the problems, it is the ego of players, staff, and coaches that make way for troublesum situations”, “Just because your name is Michael Vick doesn’t mean you can do anything.” (more…)

When you think about early college football commitments, you think Bobby Bowden. He gets the commitments and he get the players when he needs them, especially early. This year the Florida State Seminoles are leading the college football recruiting charge. The 2008 class for the Seminoles seems to have gotten off to an unexpected, flaming start with a lucky number of 13 commitments to this point.
Terrance Parks (Fairburn, Ga./Creekside), who is on the ESPN 150 watch list was added unexpectedly to the Semioles commitment list. Impressive! Florida State may be feeling some pressure from the Gators recent success, with hopes of making their own National Championship run in the near future. What do you think?
