When the time comes to choose a college, like all big decisions, the best thing you can do to prepare yourself is ask questions. Is this really the place I want to spend the next four years of my life? Will I be able to represent this university to the best of my ability? What requirements must I meet to cheer on the collegiate level?

All star cheerleading is quickly becoming a world-renowned phenomenon. More and more all star programs are emerging every year and the talent level is through the roof. If you’re like the majority of cheerleaders today who have only cheered for a competitive all star team, making the transition to college cheerleading can be a somewhat difficult task. While your potential college team’s style may be similar to what you’re used to as an all star, there is much more to it than you may think.

Brian Hoyer is on the old “see-food” diet this summer. If he sees it, he’s supposed to eat it. Hoyer said he’s gained “eight solid pounds” since spring practice ended in April. He’s trying to bulk up so he can take some big hits and not get injured when he becomes Michigan State’s starting quarterback this season.

“I’m trying to take in 6,000 calories a day,” said Hoyer, who was listed at 6-foot-2, 212 pounds during the spring. “It’s hard to keep up with eating that much food. You always feel like you’re stuffed.

“I have to try to eat every two hours. When I wake up in the morning, I try to eat a pretty big breakfast. After I lift, I’ll eat a protein bar or some fruit. After we run, I’ll have a pretty big lunch. I get a rotisserie chicken and eat the whole thing and some pasta. For dinner, I’ll have some pasta with fish or two chicken breasts. Before bed, I drink a protein shake.

Does this sound healthy? This is why College Althletes have health problems when they graduate. Is anyone concerned about his heart? Obviously he isnt.

In an article written by the New York Times:

The Yankees’ professionalism is under attack from core lieutenants Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada. A scout who has watched the Yankees said one reason so many veteran position players lack urgency is that “there is no one in the minors threatening to take their job.” Wouldn’t it behoove the Yanks to make Alex Rodriguez available in a trade market craving power to see if someone makes that Herschel Walker-type overwhelming offer that can’t be refused? The Angels and Dodgers, for example, both need power, both are blessed with young talent and both would imagine themselves as champions if Rodriguez were batting cleanup.
