I see someone received the information that Bolt’s best was around 4.1. He doesn’t say which race that was from, or his source. I got my info from both Yahoo and Google and already said the time was from his record 9.58. Anyone who accomplished the single greatest feat in sports history, which I believe a 9.58 100M is, is kidding himself that he can only match what some N.F.L. players have. Think about how fast 9.58 is (just a few years ago Maurice Greene’s 9.79 was only .03 hundreds of a second off the juiced Ben Johnson’s 9.76, which was over two decades ago and so fast everyone knew he was juiced). I’d compare 9.58 to a 100 HR season, winning a tennis Grand Slam event without losing one point, a 50 in golf, or a 48 TD season for a RB.

I heard more than once that Willie Gault, former Chicago WR, ran a best ever of 4.04, but who cares since Usain Bolt was clocked at the 40 yard mark during his 9.58 100M at an unbelievable 3.85. I ran 35 yards by mistakingly measuring 35 instead of 40 yards in 3.85. No bull. I was one of the fastest high schoolers in Chicago until injuries set me back a couple years, but I thought that was as fast as I’d ever run, and to think Bolt would have been 15 feet in front blows my mind.

Hand-timed speeds are about .2~.4 faster than electronic times so throw those out. A 4.2 hand timed is about 4.6 electronic!
