NCAA Coaches To Run Flag Football Games In Middle East

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — With a daughter serving in the military, Randy Shannon particularly understands the importance of supporting American troops.

He’ll fly a long way this spring to make that point.

Shannon is among five college football coaches who’ll head to Kuwait and other military bases in the Middle East this May to meet with U.S. troops and participate in some clinics. He’ll be joined by Notre Dame’s Charlie Weis, Georgia’s Mark Richt, Auburn’s Tommy Tuberville and Yale’s Jack Siedlecki.

The trip is scheduled from May 20-26.

“I’m thrilled to do it,” Shannon told The Associated Press Wednesday. “I mean, you get to go over and support the people over there in the military. And most of the coaches kind of know each other: Mark Richt attended the University of Miami, Tommy Tuberville coached with me, Charlie Weis I know from the NFL. Everybody’s excited about it and we’re going over to support the people that support us.”

Ok, so our troops need entertainment. Not a bad idea. Send them a few College football coaches and incorporate them in a few games of harmless football ran by the best. What I don’t understand is; why would you send Charlie Weis? With the way his 2007 season turned out he will most likely be picked last for teams. Demoralizing!

However, you can’t pick on him too much, he is doing a great thing by donating his time for a great cause. Stay safe coaches!

Terrelle Pryor Has Chosen Ohio State University

March 19, 2008 · Filed Under Features · 11 Comments

It is official! An anonymous source has LEAKED information to Fumbled.org that Terrelle Pryor will announce to play for Ohio State at noon today. During a scheduled news conference from Jeannette Senior High School, the long anticipated college football prospect Terrelle Pryor, will announced his official long awaited decision, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The decision comes more than a month after National signing day, when he broke the news to the media stating that he was not ready to make 100 guaranteed loan payday, fax guaranteed loan no payday, guaranteed loan paydayfast cash advance payday loanfast online payday loangeorgia payday loandefault on payday loancash advance payday loan softwarecash fast loan paydayadvance card cash creditadvance cash lawsuit loan, lawsuit cash advance, lawsuit settlement cash advanceeasy fast cash advance, fast cash advance, advance cash fast getno faxing savings account cash advance,1000 advance cash faxing no,advance cash faxing nocash advance until pay day, advance cash day payadvance cash fast loan paydaycash advance detroitadvance cash day loan payfast cash payday loan, payday us fast cash loancash advance loan online, advance cash loan online, advance cash fast loan onlinecash loan payday untiladvance cash loan payday softwareadvance advance america cashcash advance servicessavings account cash advance no fax, advance cash fax no,cash advance no fax requiredace cash advanceallied cash advanceadvance cash loan payday service, cash till payday loan, cash loan paydaycash advance no credit check, advance cash check credit no,advance cash check credit no onlinecash advance, instant cash advance, cash advance loancash in advanceinstant quick cash advance loan, quick and easy cash advance, quick cash advancenational cash advanceadvance america cashcash advance servicepayday loan cash advance loancash til payday loancash loan payday tiladvance america cash first, ace advance america cash, advance america cash advancefast cash advance payday loancash loan payday quickadvance cash cheap day pay, advance cash day pay,pay day cash advance5 advance cash illinois loan, cash advance loan illinoisinstant cash advance, instant cash advance with no faxing, advance approval cash instant securebudget line cash advance, advance cash line loan, advance cash on linecash advance payday loanadvance cash settlement, advance cash chicago settlement, pre settlement cash advanceadvance cash faxing loan no,no faxing cash advance, advance cash faxing loan no paydayfirst american cash advancequick cash payday loancash advance new yorkadvance cash overnight, advance cash loan overnight, overnight cash advancebusiness cash advance loan, business cash advance, cash advance for small business a decision.

You could say that Terrelle has had an amazing last 6 months winning two Pennsylvania State PIAA titles, one for football and one for basketball. His coaches and teammates give him all of the credit in the world for focusing on the moment and not the future.

No doubt, Pryor is a team playerand leader. His talent and leadership abilities will do nothing but flourish the Ohio State team to possibly a few National Titles.

The source was a credible source and right on the money. Fumbled.org officially broke this story to the media before any other college football news site out there. This was all thanks to a phone call from a Jeannette Senior High School official!

 BREAKING NEWS: STORY STILL DEVELOPING!

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Will Debate “The Stolen 1925 Championship”

Sit back and get ready, because now its on…I mean really on! On April 18th, 2008, Joe Horrigan, Vice President of the Pro Football Hall of Fame will come to Pottsville, Pennsylvania (home of Yuengling) to debate the much anticipated return of “The Stolen NFL 1925 Championship” with ESPN senior writer and Maroons supporter David Fleming. The debate will be held at the newly reconstructed Sovereign Majestic Theater in downtown Pottsville.

According to the Pottsville Republican, Horrigan will take the viewpoint opposing Fleming, an opinion that by their own choice and despite repeated warnings, the Maroons disobeyed an NFL rule and therefore do not deserve the title. Jim Coles the main sports anchor for WNEP-Newswatch 16 (A Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania News Network) will moderate the debate between Horrigan and Fleming.

The debate will surley keep the Pottsville Maroons in the recently acquired national spotlight. Fleming has done an outstanding job of circulating his most recent book about the Maroons “Breaker Boys: The NFL’s Greatest Team and the Stolen 1925 Championship“. It has been said to be “selling faster than Harry Potter” in the community and surrounding areas. The February edition of ESPN The Magazine showcased an article about the Maroons and the curse that is said to be held over the cardinals franchise by Maroon fans for their unethical acceptance of the championship.

The Republican also stated that about 150 tickets — about two-thirds of the seats — will be raffled off March 30 at The REPUBLICAN & Herald, 111 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. Free tickets will be distributed in the random drawing, while the remaining seats will be reserved for invited guests.

The debate is the next important step in justifying the unreasonable events that took place in 1925. Fumbled.org supports the Maroons and hopes to see the title returned to its home, Pottsville Pennsylvania!  GO DAVE!!!

Darren McFadden Used As Under Age Marketing Campaign

February 26, 2008 · Filed Under College Football News, College Football Recruiting, Features · 6 Comments

According to the Associated press, a ”back-street” whimpy piano bar that admitted Heisman Trophy runner-up Darren McFadden (even though he was under age) will face a $500 fine.

Employees of Ernie Biggs (Official Website Seen Here) told investigators they let the 20-year-old running back inside Jan. 10 knowing he was a minor, said Michael Langley, director of the state Alcoholic Beverage Control agency on Tuesday.

Can you blame them? They now can say this is the bar Darren McFadden was briefly arrested at. Sounds to me like they should have had the help of a professional advertising agency.

Anyways, McFadden and at least four others were at the bar when a fight broke out.

A video of the Ernie Biggs bar scene that McFadden attended can be seen below….You should try to find him. As for now, it looks like he will be in the clear and not be charged for under age drinking. After all, there is no law that states you can not be in a bar under age.

And come on man, if you are going to risk your NFL career, altleast pick a better bar!

Terrelle Pryor Spotted At OSU Basketball Game

February 25, 2008 · Filed Under College Football News, College Football Recruiting, Features · 5 Comments

Could this be bad news for Penn State? Top ranked QB Terrelle Pryor was spotted sitting in the crowd at an Ohio State basketball game on Saturday. He told reporters that a visit to State College would follow the immediate conclusion of his high-school basketball playoff run. As of now, according to the associated press, Pryor has not yet scheduled with the Nittany Lions. Is he ditching a meeting with PSU?

As Pryor got out of his seat at halftime, Ohio State’s student section chanted, “We want Pryor” and “Terr-elle Pry-or”. Sources say he was walking to a near-by room to meet with Buckeye football coach Jim Tressell.

Did the student section just provide a kick to Pryor’s decision? It is damn possible. Will a decision be announced in the next few days, maybe hours?

Five Reasons Why Terrelle Pryor Should Pick Penn State

1. The Nittany Lions return 20 starters; 9 offense, 9 defense, and 2 special teams players. Pryor can learn from their experience on and off the field, from those who do not get suspended of course.

2.Jeannette high school is exactly 120 miles away from State College. Being that Terrelle was born in Pennsylvania he should look to continue his career in Pennsylvania. There is no finer institution of high learning like PSU.

3. Who will be the Lion’s quarterback if  Pryor opts to attend school somewhere else? Daryll Clark. As the back up to Anthony Morelli Clark proved himself as having AJ Feeley like qualities. He came off the bench and gave PSU the spark they needed to be victorious in the Alamo Bowl just like AJ Feeley helped the Eagles almost beat the Patriots. The collapse is coming!

4. Pryor is on the road this week visiting Oregon State. This means if Pryor choses Oregon he becomes a Duck. Would you rather be part of a team that is called the Ducks, or the Nittany Lions?

5. With the depth PSU has already developed for the upcoming 3 seasons or so…adding Terrelle Pryor to the roster will make the Lions a contender in the BCS. PSU needs a spark desperatley and Terrelle is the answer without a doubt…

The Best NCAA Bowl Game Teams: By Winning Percentage

February 10, 2008 · Filed Under College Football News, College Football Recruiting, Features · 6 Comments

Who has had the best luck in NCAA history when it comes to playing and winning bowl games?  Did PSU come to mind? Obviously, Southern Cal has won the most games, but does that make their success better than the accomplishments of the Nittany Lions who have had 4 fewer appearances?

If we look down the road 10 years from now, will it be possible to have a team like Alabama or Georgia overcome Penn State for the all-time winning percentage honors? It is a only a matter of time (10 years of course).

High School Football Player Fakes His Own Recruitment

February 8, 2008 · Filed Under College Football News, College Football Recruiting, Features · 7 Comments

According to ESPN, a week ago, Kevin Hart sat in front of television cameras and a packed high school auditorium of his alma mater, placing two baseball caps on a table — a Cal Bears cap on his right, an Oregon Ducks cap on his left — and then, after a dramatic pause, put the blue-and-gold Cal hat on his head. The perfect ceremony to acknowledge accomplishments of any signee into a Division I school. Kevin Hart could have not asked for more.

The gymnasium erupted with cheers and pride as Hart stood proud of his achievements. Support grew throughout the week. Complements of congradulatory means were issued to Kevin Hart, his family and coaches.

Unfortunately, Hart left one minor detail out of the mix. The Cal head coach never even heard of Kevin Hart. There was never a scholarship offer let alone an offer on the table at all. “We knew of the kid,” said a sympathetic Chris Ault, head coach at Nevada. “He was in our camp, but he’s not a scholarship athlete.”And yet, about 10 days ago, a Nevada assistant coach told Ault, “Coach, you won’t believe this, but the Hart kid is going to go to Oregon.”"What?” said Ault.”Oregon’s offering him a scholarship,” said the assistant.A few days later, after spending time with nine players making their official weekend recruiting visits to Nevada, Ault came home, ate dinner and then saw some jaw-dropping footage on the local news. There was the non-prospect Hart placing a Cal cap on his head.

Ault couldn’t believe it. He started calling his assistant coaches, all the time consumed by a single, paranoid thought: Holy god, the guy’s a half hour from our campus and we didn’t even recruit him! What’s this going to look like?”

That right folks! He made each and every detail up! The whole thing was a FAKE!!

What was he thinking? He had to realize at some point that someone would find out about this frantic lie. Is it possible that maybe he convinced himself to believe his own lie?He “snowballed” his parents, friends, and family. Infact, the parents claim an envelope from Cal or Oregon never even came to the house.

Let’s get serious here. This is an act that is supposed to be committed by a high school student lying about making the varsity team, not a “so called” Division I college athlete. For his valiant efforts in trying to become the first self proclaimed college football recruit, Fumbled.org is awarding Mr. Hart with the “Jackass” stamp of approval.Good luck to you, and we hope you find the perfect NFL team to fit your needs for the next time you cry wolf.

The Oldest And Strongest Curse In Sports

February 6, 2008 · Filed Under Features, Pottsville Maroons · Comment

In an article written by the NFL Hall of Fame, the Cardinals football franchise is described as having minimal success in their league history. However, in the article the Hall of Fame implies that the Cardinals actually won the NFL title in 1925, stating that, “Except for 1925, when they edged out the Pottsville Maroons for their first NFL championship, the Cardinals experienced only minimal success on the playing field during their first 26 seasons in the league.”

To me this implies that there was actually a game played!  Using the words “when they edged out Pottsville for their first NFL Championship”, makes it seem as if the Maroons were actually beaten by the Cardinals in the 1925 season finale. It even implies that the game was a “pressure cooker”.

The fact is, the Cardinals did not edge out anyone!!!!! The 1925 championship ended up being handed to the “Song Birds” of Chicago because of the so called “disqualification controversy” against the Pottsville Maroons.

For those of you who do not know about the controversy; the Maroons and Cardinals were the top contenders for the 1925 NFL title, with Pottsville winning a late-season game between them, 21-7. That’s right the Maroons beat them! The “controversy” started when the Maroons scheduled a game against The University of Notre Dame, which included the infamous “Four Horseman”. They won the game 9-7 in the final seconds. On the same day, the Frankford Yellow Jackets were scheduled to play a game in the same city. Read More…

How can the NFL just hand away a championship? A similar situation that compares to todays sports world would be if the Patriots scrimmaged a high-school before the big game. Would the NFL just hand the Giants the Super bowl if the same situation took place today? Absolutely not! The impact of the media and fans on such a decision would sink the National Football League for such a stupid act.

Ever since the NFL awarded the Cardinals that final game, the franchise can not even peck its way into a successful season. According to ESPN Author David Fleming, a 92 year-old Maroons historian, Nick Barbetta, agrees that a curse is indeed in place.

“ The Cardinals will be doomed by a curse folks in Pottsville hand down from generation to generation. “We cursed ‘em with the oldest, strongest curse in sports.”
