The NMSU Aggies ARE Tough Enough to Wear Pink! Are you tough enough to wear pink?  That is the question posed by NMSU Head Football Coach Hal Mumme and his wife June.  On September 29th Aggie fans will be seeing pink and lots of it, to fight a deadly disease. In 1996, June was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Her treatment included a lumpectomy, followed a week later by a mastectomy, six months of chemotherapy and five years of continued treatment.  Since then Hal and June have been actively involved in breast cancer awareness and fundraising activities. The quality of life in the South is dependent upon good college football. Local economies, race relations and collective psychological health all would suffer without it. Sweet tea would not be as sweet. Fried chicken would not be as crispy. Country songs would be even sadder.

My God, are they f*cking serious? Honestly, how can they rank _____ ahead of ____!? Who cares if they only had ___ losses last year, they play in the _____ conference. If they played in the _____ conference, they would have way more losses and wouldn’t be getting all this media love. There is such a ____ coast bias it’s unbelievable. The ____ coast gets no love whats so ever, even though the ____ conference is clearly to toughest conference. _____ could do awesome in the ____ conference even though they suck in the ____ conference. Maybe if ____ would play in the _____ conference and have to play top teams week after week, and still won, they would deserve their rank, but no, the ___ poll just likes sucking ____’s dick all the time. Such bullsh*t! And why is ____ ranked so high, who do they play? F*cking media darlings. (more…)

The key to winning in the Fantasy College Football game is finding (and hoarding) those coaching comments, sidebar references, and teammate blurbs about those players who are making “heads turns” in their debuts. Here are some of the early names that have popped out recently from Pre Pro Sports.

If you look at the last post on fumbled.org you will see that Patrick Nixon of Ed H. White High School, FL, tried to rush his high-school education to become a NCAA corner back 1 year early. Should there be a rule in place making it so situations like this can be prevented? Altheltes are being texted by College football recruiting Scouts when they are in 9th grade. Com’on! That’s just rediculous.

The NCAA needs to step up and address this recent evolved issue and throw some guidelines to the league and intercollegiate sports programs. Don’t you agree?

Patrick Nixon has committed to the  Illini over other college football recruiting programs such as the defending champion Florida Gators, the Daily Herald reports. He attempted to graduate from high school one year early and become part of Illinois’ Class of 2007, but he could not keep up the pace and he will have to remain in high school for the full duration.

The University of Oregon is scheduled to travel to Boise State at the start of the 2009 season, instead they may be headed to China for the season opener, reports SI.

It’s an idea right now. They’re not sure, and we’re not sure, if it’s even feasible.”

The University of Oregon is scheduled to travel to Boise State at the start of the 2009 season to play the Broncos on their blue turf, but the Ducks have suggested playing the game elsewhere — in China. via SI.com (more…)

Back on March 12th, RB Jermie Calhoun gave the Sooners a college football recruiting verbal commitment for 2008. He was just recently quoted in a press conference on July 6th stating “I’m so happy to be a Sooner, and I’m glad this process is over where I can focus on my spring semester, and getting my goals accomplished at Van High School.” He has turned down the following schools who were looking to possibly recruit him; LSU, Alabama, Florida, and Nebraska.

He is currently ranked #4 in ESPN’s Top 150 College Football Recruiting Rankings.

“Believe it or not, he and Javarris James are kind of like butt buddies.”

Was a remark made by Miami Hurricane Coach Randy Shannon during a press conference when he was asked about Graig Cooper and Javarris James. “Butt Buddies?” If you check out Urban Dictionary.com you’ll see what all of the controversy is about. Check out the source! Way to go coach!

He also mentioned that all starting positions are “open” for this season.

On Saturday the Trojans recieved verbal  commitment from No. 3-ranked WR Brice Butler (Norcross, Ga.). (WR | 6’2″ 178).

ESPN states that the Trojans are leading the college football recruiting for the most ESPN 150 commitments for the Class of 2008.  Someone needs to step up and knock them off their horse. Teams need to become more agressive when it comes to College football recruiting. Who has the talented staff that could compete? Is there any body??
